ABOUT TOTAL HEALTH

Dr Prathap C Reddy, founder-chairperson of the Apollo Hospitals Group launched Total Health in Aragonda, Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh, in 2013, as the corporate social responsibility programme of the hospitals. Total Health aims to provide holistic healthcare for the individual, from birth, through their journey into childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and in the later years of their lives: from womb to tomb, as Dr Reddy foresaw. The organization recognizes that context and community are key in a person’s physical, mental, social, ecological, and spiritual development. Since all of these feed into overall wellbeing, projects revolve around different aspects of daily life, with an eye on creating long term positive impact for both the individual and the community. Today, Total Health also operates in the Amrabad area of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, serving mostly the Chenchu tribe that inhabit the area.
